Winter Challenge

Hello to all!

As you could have seen the blog has been quite silent lately due to health problem...that affected my reading a lot more that i would have liked and i fell behind in my challenge objctive.
The situation is far forsettled but it's slowly improving ( except my hand) so when i saw Stephanie from Cover2Cover offering us some motivation to try to reach our challenge goal for 2013 i couldn't miss this opportunity and i joined the Winter Challenge

I'm trying not to overdo it because i still have a lot of Christmas preparation to do and i have some rest long overdue but i want to try to finish what i can ( i hate failing!) . So for stephanie we only have to read not to review which will help my goodreads challenge but i will try to review those entering other challenges.

i don't have any specific titles in mind but i want to read 6 books and/or novellas if possible and i need to review 3 sports romances as well as at least one paranormal one so that's what i will set as my goal and if achieve that i will be really happy^^

i will perhaps update this post as i advance in the challenge so don't hesitate to participate or to encourage me a little^^ i'm sure i will need it

Update: goals reached 5/6
22th: Unicorn Keep read, reviewed
25th: Offside : read- reviewed
26th: josey's Christmas Cookie: read- reviewed
27th: Buying Trouble: read - reviewed
29th Backfield in Motion: read and reviewed
31th: Lucky Charm: read ( reviewed on goodread)

Happy Holidays!

update 31th december 2013: Challenge completed! Meaning that a few hours only before we reach 2014 i completed my challenge goals! i don't think i would have managed without this little push so a big thank you to all participants!

Challenge 2013 part 5: YA/MG fantasy Challenge

Hello to all,

While participating in the Bout of Books read-a -thon, i've come across new bloggers, as well as one i follow already, one of them is Erica from The Book Cellar.

While checking her blog, i've discovered she was hosting a reading challenge too.... for this one the goal is to read YA/MG fantasy books. The kind of fantasy doesn't matter and the number of books needed is 10.

To be honest, i'm not sure i have that many books of this genre on my shelves but it's possible so i've decided to enter this challenge too ( that's start to make a lot i know), i hope it can cross with other challenges too.

This is the info Erica has posted on her blog and you can sign up HERE :

This will be the central hub of information for the 2013 YA/MG Fantasy Challenge. In case you haven’t heard about the challenge, the goal is to read and review 10 YA/MG fantasy books throughout the year. Some changes from last year:
  • Books can be any YA or MG fantasy, they do not need to be specific to 2013. I will still be doing roundups  of releases each month just to keep news up on new releases.
  • Giveaways are no longer just for reviews – they will be for all challenge participants. Reviews will be worth the most entries and each giveaway will be run bimonthly, so there will be 6 prize packs available throughout the year.
[...]The challenge runs January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013. Sign-ups will end Oct 15, 2013. As always, all types of fantasy are included in the challenge, not limited to urban, high, epic, general fantasy, etc.
I don't have a specific list of books in mind yet but i got one already and if i can add the other Elemetal books published it would be great ( i just need to get Spark quickly^^), i also got or will get some of the lux series and the covenant series by jennifer L armentrout and i will perhaps discover Cassandra Clare too. I will see. You will be able to keep track of my progress on the Challenges 2013 page
So are you interested in this challenge too? Do you read that kind of books? Some recommendation perhaps?

2013 Challenge part 1: 2013 TBR Reading Challenge

It's the time of the year when we try to take some resolutions, one of those i decided to take was to enter again some challenge and to continue to do my best in each one i enter so for that i need to be selective and reasonnable.

I entered the 2012 tbr reading challenge hosted by evie and while i read more than expected ( i started at the first level and in the end read 91 books) i was a bit disappointed in some part of the organisation, Evie isn't to blame at all and the challenge is really motivating for me so i decided to trust her again and participate in the 2013 edition where some rules have changed but not the essential.

I won't list my books in adavance because i mostly find them when i look on my shelves for other challenges too^^;; but you will find them in my list of challenge like this year. To be cautious, this time again i will start at the first level ( and move up if i can) A firm Handsake and that means between 1-10books
