Bout of Books read-a-thon 5.0: My goals

 Like i explained in my precedent post, i'm entering my first read-a -thon that will take place between the 13 and 19 august. I will explain here my goals and i will update this post during the event.

It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 13th and runs through Sunday, August 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. Time Devoted to Reading

I will be reading a day all week as soon as i get the opportunity to do so between all i have to do in real life. Also since i'm finishing some handmade gift my reading time will be limited a bit but i will try to do my best.

My Goals

• Read i hope at least 4books ( including chick lit for which i really need motivation)
• discover new bloggers at make a least one comment each day to one of the participant
• Take note to write my reviews of it possible write the review after each book ( but then less reading)

Books to Read

• Obsidian new edition ( on the week for another challenge)
• Calling Romeo by Alexandra Potter
• One paranormal romance: still no title decided
• Another alexandra potter chick lit book
• Onyx ( Lux2)
• 
  This is a unfinished list of possibibilites not definitive titles and i won't probably read all of them but i will have the choice at least

Oki i'm a bit disappointed by my first day, i was hoping to read a lot more since it was in my native language but life decided to put its two cents in it. On my reading time i started to feel ill so i took a break and in the end i slept 4hours so i managed less that what i hoped.

Good point: i did make more than 5comments to others participants ( lost count after 5), i managed to finish and post the review i started before the read a thon, i did put the final touch to several handmade RAK ( i had to send them if i wanted them to arrive on time), i managed to enter both mini challenge of day1  so not a bad day but i'm still far from my reading goals.

Tuesday

A better day for reading and i've at least finishes 1/4of my goals^^;;, i still took the time to comments on other participants blogers but i haven't done the mini challenge today. They seemed fun for but writing a poem not in my native language took so long that i gave up to read more.  I still need to find some balance between the different activities.

Wednesday

Not a bad day, for me it was a day off but the level of pollution was too high so i was out more othen than up so i didn't read as much as i wanted buti'm still happy with the result.
I finished calling romeo and wrote a draft of the review ( really short one simply because when i don't love the book it's more difficult for me to write a long review^^)
I started a new romance paranormal: A perfect Darkness from Jaime Rush ( i know i should have picked a new chick lit but i really really needed the change- chick lit and me not a good match)

I commented on others blogs but not as much as i could have done so it's great i put a low number as my goals^^ also i participated in the two mini challenge of the day but i was slow ^^;;

Thursday

I'm still learning, i just discovered that i had to put the link to these updates each day in the linky ( since the first day was my goals post i didn't have too and after i thought since it's the same post i guess i don't... arggg) oki forgot day 2 and 3 while i did make the update here very carefully, now i just have to be better for the last days.

I should have been able to read more but my brother made a hypoglycemic crisis so like always it swap all my energy and make me sick  ( it could seem strange but when he is doing one i can't touch him without repercussions, i'm terribly allergic to him while in crisis ( in normal state no problem we can hug etc) so i spent a long time in the bath trying to keep my skin under control and i had to wait for my stomacto adjust before i could finally start reading. Only 4h of sleep isn't good for at all so my concentration wasn't the best BUT i did manage to finish the book i had started a paranormal romance yes but it's one of my favourite genre after all.

I could have started a new book but obsidian was on the schedule for friday so i could not pick it  and when i saw the chick lit one i just saw i wasn't going to finish it qsuickly and since i don't start a book when i haven't finished the first one i prefered to socialiaze a bit more and i discovered new participants blogs, followed some and commented.

I also did 2of the 3 challenges (a book per saison and contemporary challenge-  there was a problem with this one so i hope it will be ok in the end-), it was fun and instructive ( i'm still no were in contemporary so i learned some new titles).  I will not give up since i 'm near my goal so see you tomorrow^^

Not bad at all,i would have liked to read more because Lux is my favorite series but because of trouble with the trains ( delay etc) i got less time to read . I'm still really happy because i'm right on track^^ i will try to boost me so i finish this but i've done i can so no regret.

I commented on a minimum of 5blogs ( more 10 i think but it doesn't matter^^) and i 've completed one challenge " look forward" the one with haiku was fun too but took longer and needed a picture of the books so i couldn't do it. I also ( for another read a thon) participated in my first chat with an author, i'm really happy even if i didn't do a lot completly overwelmed after the first minutes it was still a great experience

Saturday

Nearly the end and even with some interruptions and unexpected events, i'm nearly ok with my goals so i'm really happy. This first read a thon is fun, a good experience^^. Now How was my 6th day: good: i finished Obsidian bonus included , i wrote the review ( french one this time) and i started Onyx ( could not resiste more than 10min after finishing the review of Obsidian^^). I hope to finish Onyx tomorrow.

Now about my other goals: i commented a bit on other participants'blog and i participated in 2 of the 3 challenges: virtual travels ( picked obsidian since i was completly in it) and page 99 test ( one book of chicagoland vampire by chloe neill that yes i want to read after the bit of page99^^;;) thus those goals for today are met. Only one day left ^^ good luck to all

This is really really great ^^ i've read more than expected so i started books i didn't plan to read, ok i admid i didn't finish the last one i started but still in total i've finished 6books*happy*
