Hello to all!
Lately i found myself to be quite in pain ( not too strongly but when it's permanent it can become too much), it's not too serious and i'm starting to take care of it but it did affect my reading especially when i had even less time for me than i do usually.
So i'm behind writing my wrap up post for the summer for example and i'm sorry for that, i will do it later but i will do it and i'm grateful for each book i've got really. To get back in the reading mood, i've decided to join Tressa read- a-thon challenge which Start tomorrow Monday 14th and last until the 27th.
I'm not planning to set high goals or anything i want to do this well but with pleasure it's simply to get back on track and not to pick any excuse to avoid stopping and taking some time for me reading or crafting.
Goals:
If i can read 4 books i would be super happy, and complete the review for those would be even better so i have some ready for you when the time requires it, but what i hope the most in this read- a thon is being able to read a little each day that's the main goal. Which book(s)? that i absolutely have no idea yet so it will be a surprise for me as well
I will be putting my updates here ( perhaps weekly or more frequently) and in the goodreads group that was done especially for that. If you join us there is still time, the sign up linky stay open until the end of the read a thon here.
There will be some challenge too so depending on my health and how much i've read ( and if they don't require twitter or facebook) i plan to at least enter one.
Thanks to Tressa and all the participants for the extra motivation, i'm really forward this challenge.

Ides of March Read-a-thon
Hello to all!,
As you already know i've entered the March Take control of your TBR pile challenge hosted by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and so far i'm not behind my goals i think as you can see my updates here. However i must say that i'm starting to slow, the air pollution happening this week is tiring me down with huge headache and thus reading was a little put aside...so this read-a-thon relaated to the main challenge is simply right on time to keep me motivated ^^.
Thus here comes the Ides of March Read-a-thon by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer that last until St Patrick Day ^^ just after my birthday
It's really an easy one since you must only read one book released before the 1st of March .You also don't need to join the take control of your TBR pile challenge to join the read- a-thon but if you do, it could be the little push you needed.
First a recap of the rules:
Now let's see how i'm planning to do it, for facility i will put everything in this main post.
Thursday
Number of pages I've read today:352 pages
Total number of books I've read:1
Books:finished: The Goblin King by Shona Husk, The Summons( novella)
started:
I'm starting slow by participating in my first mini challenge: the Cover Puzzle Challenge hosted by Ginny from Ginny Book Notes. Easy and interesting it reminded me some titles to check^^. Then i joined the other hosts i still didn't know and discovered Villa and her blog Backchatting Books, her challenge surprised me and made me smile so i participated too in the When in Rome... challenge.
Oki concerning the reading part i wanted to start The Goblin king because i'm quite in a celtic mood at the moment^^ but first i had to finish the review of the last book i read and when i opened the book i saw there was a prequel novella... after verification i did own it too so even if onlybooks count i decided to start by the beginning ( it was so worth it^^) and The Goblin king was read in matters of hours and i'm working on the review
Friday
Number of pages I've read today: 152pages
Total number of books I've read:1
Books:finished: The Goblin King
started: Bloodstone
There is still a mini challenge i wanted to participate in but today i was so busy i didn't had time so i concentrate the little i had into reading . Yesterday i discovered that i was really in a celtic mood, wanting to read about druids, celtic legends and such and while perusing my list i saw that quite a book were related to that^^;; and i still think of one or two i could add from my pile but first i started Bloodstone by Nancy Holzner that was waiting for me for a long time already...so far so good.
Saturday
Number of Pages I've read today: 253
Total number of books I've read:2
Books:finished: The Goblin King, Bloodstone
started: Dirty Magic
The mini challenge 6words or less was really tempting me so i participated between my reading. I finished Bloodstone by Nancy Holzner and to change a little started Dirty Magic ( not as happy as i hoped i would be so far)
Tomorrow is my birthday so probably i will have some reading time^^ and i will see what i decide to try
Sunday
Number of books I've read today:
Number of pages read today:
Total number of books I've read:4
Books:finished: The Goblin King, Bloodstone,Dirty Magic, Storm Warrior
The weather was perfect sunny and not cold ( not warm either so i took a great plesure reading by the open windows and it helped me read faster too ( oki in fact i read faster when i enjoy)...i put aside Dirty Magic because i didn't like it as much as i hoped and jumped on the next one i really wanted to read and review for St Patrick's Day " Storm Warrior" and that one i devoured in less than 2hours ( obligatory breaks included) so i was delighted and i could restart and finish Dirty Magic just after .
With those 2 i definitively read more than expected so i'm quite happy and i will try to continue for the rest of the month

March 2014 Take Control of your TBR Pile sign up post
Hello to all!
Spring is at our doors and for a lot of people it means cleaning time....i must say i'm not particulary fond of this tradition but i do hope i will advance in my listing of books... one way to work on it is to read a little from my to be read pile....i don't know for your but my TBR pile has been growing since i started my blog.... a little overboard even ;) ( still the wishlist grows faster).
When i was thinking of checking which book i put aside for too long i came accross this challenge hosted by Caffeinated book Reviewer and i decided to join^^, i'm sure it will be the motivation i need and since it can be combined with my other challenges it's even better. It last all this month and you can still join so don't hésitate as long as it'sa book released before march 2014 and not a novella it counts^^
Here is a recap of the rules so you can see how easy it is.

Bout of Books 8.0: Goals and Updates
Hello to all,
I hope i have learned from past experience and thus the main goal will be to find some balance between blogging, reading time and life outside of that. I will keep low goals but i won't try to do everything in teh first few days and then be so tired i can't do anything.... now that's what i'm hoping to do but life can happen so we will see. I've already done this post to win time so ^^ i need to be careful to stick to what i said. After all i said in May that i had a revenge to take so let this edition be the best of all so far
I will update this post daily to keep my progress up to date so don't hesitate to come back here each date to see how i'm doing ^^. Part of this adventure is the support we can offer to each other, so count on me to try to visit you.
Monday
Number of pages I've read today: 356
Total number of books I've read: 1
Books: Line of Scrimmage ( finished)
The day was better in reading time that what i expected.. having been feeling unwell this night ( or early morning) i decided to start reading and i picked the sport romance i prepared... it was a quick read but still enjoyable. Now i 'm glad i started early because afternoon spiralled down and i got so busy i couldn't open a book. I also worked on the first draft of the review for the book i finished
For the others goals... i did comment on 5 other participants posts and i wa ssurprised to discover that both challenge today were really simple and quick so i did both The book pairing... a sport romance with a sport drink i couldn't have done it purposely and better. And on Sarah says read i did comment on my bookish dream , teh thing i hope to do before dying: attending BEA or another bookish convention in the US
All things together it was great start.... now i need to keep the rythm without overdoing it either.
Tuesday
Number of pages I've read today: 194
total pages read: 552
Total number of books I've read:1
Books: Finished: Line of Scrimmage
Started: Waynest: Enlevée
Second day and already i'm loosing a little interest... oki perhaps it's due to the book i picked, i've started the one in french and i'm not enjoying it as much as i hoped in fact i'm reading it slower than line of scrimmage whicjh is really surprising. I've done more than half already though so i will be able to finish and change the kind of reads soon. I was also quite busy so i didn't had that much time so reading part of the challenge: good
For the others goals, since i've already done 2 challenges i prefered to pass the one for today and instead take that time to read and commenting, i did comment on 7other participants which is good , some i knew already and some i discovered yesterday thanks to the linky. i'm really happy with that side of the readathon

Midnight isn't far away so i will stop for today... i didn't finish all what i hoped to do but it's still quite good. I did finish the book in french but i really didn't feel like writing the review so it will be for tomorrow before i can start on something else. I liked reading but i needed the little gardening time i took, my flowers needed to be put in a bigger pot and it's was really grounding..; i always feel at peace after taking care of plants. Not sure what i will start to read tomorrow i will se when i will be ready.
I did spend sometimes on the TBR challenge^^;; i do have one of course but deciding which one have a priority in it it's really difficult since i keep changing them of place in it but it was fun. I also managed my comments goal by checking 5 posts today ( oki more but commented on 5 only)
Thursday
Number of pages I've read today: 0 (yes i know couldn't do worse)
Total number of books I've read:2

Today i was quite depressed after an event that happened in the morning, nothing dramatic but it took me down and i didn't feel like reading so i scored 0 page ( let see the positive, i still have 3 more days to improve). Since i had written the review i needed to do really ealy it was done ( ouf at least something^^) and i comment but less only 4 participants posts.
I also worked on another of my goal the "rak" one, not finished far from it but i was asked a new design and after numerous attempts i think i finally came with something i like. i will try to work a little more on it this week. And i did one of the mini challenge like you can see below)
Mini Challenge: My book road trip ( show the state/place you want to visit and find a book that takess place there or where the author lives or is from)....seems simple but why it can't be^^;; i nearly never remember where a book takes place so i needed to check and thus less reading time ( arf ) but it was fun so here is where i want to go ( and i have the books cited except those for Newyork,Wales and ireland ( oh and canada i only read part of the series as of yet)
New orleans: Elysian Fields by Suzanne Johnson ( that one is so easy after reading this series it's a dream!)
New York: ( so evident since i'm dreaming of attending BEA one day) Vampire King of New York by Susan Hanniford Crowley
Chicago: Twice bitten by Chloel Neill ( or anyother book from the chicagoland vampire series^^)
Atlanta: Magic bite by Ilona Andrews
Italy: Cascade by Lisa T bergren

started:
End of the week and it starting to show, i wasn't feeling well today, didn't feel like eating at all but i did make an effort and to get back on reading i followed some other participants suggestiosn and i added novellas, i'm really happy to said it worked since i've already read two of them( perhaps more since i still have tiome before sleeping but i prefer to start making this update already ( i can add what i finish after so better to do it when i'm not too sleepy.
I did comment but only on 2 participants today not a lot but my eyes are tired ( or with a small infection) so i got some medecine to put in it and thats sadly means less time in front of a screen .,And by selecting the novella i did, i completed part of my goal. i also remembered to post a review ( yes i was writing them but forgot to post...that's all me at the moment), i will have some in stock for next weeks it seems^^.
I did participate in a new challenge, which was fun ( but i'm perhaps too conservative in my choice^^)
Mini Challenge: My bookish Mabs Lips..; first time i try something like this so here is the result:
part1: list of element needed: books title and authors

Mini Challenge: My participation in this bout of books included commenting on other participants blog but i enjoy this opportunity to discover new blogs and bloggers ( minimun one each day) so i did discover more but since the challenge ask for 5 here are the new bloggers i discovered with a link to one of their update at least^^
Camila @ Alive or Undead
Honey @ Gaga Over Books
Valli @ Valli's Book Den
Ekaterina @ In My Book
Tanya @ Read. Run. Study.

Bout of Books 7.0: Goals and Update
Hello to all,

I won't change what works, but this year i will try to manage a better balance between blog time and life outside since i think that's what i missing so far.I will also try to avoid the mistake of last time: trying to overdo it the first day.. i wanted to be sure to finish my goals so i didn't plan well and then i had to take a day off to recuperate^^;; so this time it will be little by little.
I will update this post daily to keep my progress up to date so don't hesitate to come back here each date to see how i'm doing ^^. Part of this adventure is the support we can offer to each other, so count on me to try to visit you.
Monday
Number of pages I've read today: 246
Total number of books I've read: 0
Books: Started: Cat & Bones ( read novella 1 &2), Alien Diplomacy by Gini Koch
Today wasn't a bad day even if i had less time to read that what i hoped. I first had to help my mother and that reduced my motivation a lot... i selected a bunch of books i really want to read and then... i didn't feel like starting any of those...at the end i picked a book in French " Cat & Bones" by Jeaniene Frost because it's an anthology regrouping 3 novella from the night huntress series, i had read the first one in english so reading the translation was quick and i loved the second novella a lot. I got the idea to pick an anthology from another participant and it's great because when i don't have a lot of time or i need to change my mind i can read one.
So after this slow start, my brother received the news he got a job ( a temporary one but still) so we had to help him getting ready so again less time and i just read the first page of Alien Diplomacy by gini Kock( i so wanted to continue when started but i need my beauty sleep^^;;)
For the others goals... i didn't do the daily challenge but i commented on 7 other participant's post and i did contact the author who kindly accepted. She was working on that time so she couldn't sent me the copy immediately which is completely normal but in case she send it soon enough i will perhaps be able to add the book in this read a thon already^^. The essential is that she answered me quicker that what i hoped and positively so i'm really really happy ( Thank you!!)

At the moment i really feel like a failure...so many things happened that i didn't manage to put my hands on the books so i haven't read any pages today and i hate that especially when i've started a book that greatly interest me.
Oki if i try to stay positive, i did post a official review and i commented on 3 other participants' blog.. not a lot but since my goal was oen per day it's oki. i also tried the challenge "musical playground" but i don't know if i did right because i just matched one song "je te donne " by JJ Goldman with Mercy thompson series by patricia briggs i couldn't think of a whole playlist when this songh was just perfect for me.
i can only hope the rest of the week will get better because i need motivation. ( now for other reasons but last bout of books, tuesday was also a bad day so it's perhaps a sign.)

It wasn't really difficult to do better than yesterday but i hoped to read more than 100 pages however my blood pressure became really bad so book was confiscated and i was forced to lie down.... after 12h of sleep in a row it's still completely unstable but at least i'm in the "orange" level instead of the red one so better but still bad.
i did comment on 2 other participants' post and i posted my weekly post about the serial Storm Force by Susannah Sandlin.
And a good news, i did receive the sport romance book so i hope to get better soon enough to start on this one but health must come first.

i really hoped to be better but in fact it was worse and even during the 3h wait for my appointment with the doctor i couldn't manage to read a line...my miracle solution didn't come in fact it's more serious that what i though and now i have several exams to pass in hope to discover where the problem lies either it can be nothing either it can be really serious.. way to rassure the patient -_- so after a scanner, a echo, blood anaylysis and others things i should have a better idea of what it's happening. i do hope my kidney is well...the exams need to be scheduled soon so perhaps the first result will be available next week we will see. until then i guess my reading will stay as low but i'm not giving up yet so wewill see what i can do.
the challenge really interested me but i got no time, i did comment like i hoped though.

I also comment like i wanted so this day isn't a complete failure

Today as been a better day that what i hoped so i finish well even if it's far from my normal level. i've read 160 pages ( meaning i read 3/4 of both books i started) , i commented on 3 other participants' posts and i posted a review.
I haven't worked on the RAK more than half an hour so i don't consider this goal a succes s( but i prefer to make it when i'm well so teh result is better)
i think i'm up to date with ly review but honestly i'm not 100% because i can't reember well at the moment .
When i take into account the shape i'm in i consider this read-a-thon a good one even if it's the worse i did so far... in a way it's even a success because it made me keep reading when i wanted to give up after the rush of bad news.
i hope i will be better for the next edition in august ^^ i have a revenge to take.
