I've been interviewed by Laura!

Hello to all,

I still need to rest a lot but i'm better so i wanted to share with you the good news i told you about a few days ago.  Those of you who know me know that i'm quite shy, one of the reason i don't want to try to get awards, tag etc. But Laura from Colorimetry managed to get an interview out of me ( probably because i was unwell, tired and didn't think about it ^^;;;) oh i'm not regretting it at all but don't expect to get a lot more of them either^^.

For me it's important to express my thanks to the persons who were kind to me, month ago Laura did a giveaway and it was open for international if the shipping was under a certain amount... i wanted one of the book so i asked her if it was ok for the shipping to Belgium.
She is really busy and tried to get the info from the post office but didn't manage since the giveaway was closing she told me i could enter anyway and if i was selected then she would check if i qualify...Rafflecopter did select me but at that time she didn't make the connection until she had my address..she was so happy for me i was really touched so i decided to make her a small gift as soon as i got enough money...fates decided it happened when her blogoversary was near..a few days from mine so ina sort of double blogoversary event she interviewed me and there is a giveaway!!!

So if you want to win a handmade keychain or bookmark check the interview, you will perhaps learn one of two things about me^^;;

So here you go   Colorimetry: Miki's interview + giveaway

Thank you a lot once again Laura, and it was really a pleasure

ps: if you want some example of the gifts i did, you can check the RAK wrap up post, if the receiver gave me a picture, it's there

Score:  3/5

Hello to all,

In this early morning - the sun won't be up before a few hours so oki in this cold night with a few stars showing^^;;- i should be asleep but life happen and while i'm ill once again i can't sleep at the moment.  To use this offered time wisely i've decided to share with another step in my discovery of erotic romance subgenre. Months ago, during a blogoversary there was a chat with several authors, i've discovered some i've already told you while reviewing their books and i will present you some more later.

Today it will be Wendi Zwaduk ( she also write under another name) she specialises in erotic romance and her books cover a large range of heat levels...being quite new to it i prefered to ask her which book was the best for me...something not too hard, m/f etc and she came with this title Right Where i Need to Be that i was able to win later.....i don't regret it at all!! So Today i'm giving you my opinion on this book (on a side note- but i will write a post later about it- i've been interviewed on Colorimetry and there is a giveaway- here)

Happy reading!

Short description from goodreads :

Logan Malone needs an acting job and fast. With his string of broken hearts, his professional life lies in shambles. To resurrect his career, he must audition for a television role which could be the job of a lifetime. Cass Jenson needs an actor for her made for TV movie. The previous actor dropped out, leaving her stranded. Her savior shows up looking sinfully sexy and totally right for the part, but what part is she auditioning him for - her movie or her bed?

My opinion:
I love this book! I admit I was a bit afraid because the excerpts for other books by Wendy Zwaduk were often too hot for me, while well written, so I knew I needed something softer. This is the book the author herself recommended to me and she was right it’s perfect for me!

This is a wonderful romance story, it’s erotic and hot yes but it’s really well written and it’s in a story with a good plot. I like suspense romance and there is a touch of the genre that made me completely immersed in the story. The characters are moving. Cass is a great, famous author but she is lacking confidence because of her past abuses, she is secret and really afraid but in the same time she is trying to move on even if it’s really hard. When she sees Logan, she reacts as a woman for the first time in a decade. However her past and insecurities are restraining her to act on her feelings. For Logan is a bit the opposite, he has a reputation, not false, of a Romeo who plays with beautiful woman before ditching them.  He admits himself that it’s not sane and it’s a turning point in his life when he starts to want something more. He is able to see where he went wrong, what he should have done differently, he is not changing overnight of course but he is on the right path…all because of a picture. Going to that audition is a necessity for his bank account, only because of his lifestyle, but it’s foremost a choice. He wanted the role because the author’s picture made him fantasize …when he discovers that the picture is real, not a model but really the author he is left speechless. Cass is the total opposite of what he has been looking in his ex, she is not a model but a beautiful normal woman and he is completely under her charm. Fortunately for him, his clumsiness is what makes him stand out for the role…but he wants more than the role even more after learning of Cass’ past.

Their relationship is slowly building like I love and it’s even more important here with their personality. Under her strong front, Cass is really afraid of a rejection and she doesn’t imagine possible for someone, someone famous even less, to love her because of her looks. Dex, her abusing ex husband, really destroyed her self esteem and still tries to sap her control on her life. The fact that Logan is a well know womanizer and that the majority of her friends, wanting to protect her, thinks it’s a bad idea make her doubt even more. However, Logan is not one to give up without a fight once he is sure of what (or here who) he wants. His life hasn’t been perfect but he is determined to make the woman he loves feel loved and protected, at all costs.

It’s really a fabulous story and Wendi captivated me, I’ve read this in one read while on a tight schedule  it shows you how motivated I was^^. I would recommend it to lovers of soft (no bdsm, ménage etc) erotic romance. The only light, very light downside I have is in the ending… while it’s not bad at all I just felt that the last encounter ( I won’t tell you more) wasn’t needed it was already a real HEA without it but it’s perhaps because I ‘m more likely to hold a grudge.

Editeur VF: Milady 2012
Titre original:Ashes of Midnight ( edited 2009)
Genre: romance paranormale, romance érotique
Violence: élevé

Langage: moyen

Score: 4,5 /5

Enticed by His Forgotten Lover by Maya Banks

Hello to all,

I'm not forgetting my goal of this month: discovering erotic romance subgenre, even if life has become really busy. I'm attending a new course and that means some readings done for works not pleasure. Anyway, i won't give up so today i will introduce you to a still quite soft erotic romance written by the excellent Maya Banks. (Normally they will have other reviews of book from this genre in english this month by different authors but who and when it will be the surprise.)

Happy reading!

Short description from goodreads :

""Have we met?""Answer: a right hook Because Bryony Morgan pulls no punches. Even when she's very pregnant and facing down the father of her unborn child. She fell for wealthy hotelier Rafael de Luca when he courted her for her beachfront real estate. Then he disappeared. Now, she's in New York for answers--and she won't accept a brush-off.

But selective amnesia after a crash has Rafael puzzled. How could he ever forget a combustible beauty like Bryony? Solution: return to the island where they met, and relive the unforgettable nights in question--until he remembers everything…

My opinion:
I love Maya Banks’ writing style; she manages to captivate me without difficulty. It was my first attempt with this collection and i was a bit afraid it was going to be too hot for me but with this author no problem oh it’s erotic yes but it’s so well written that you can overcome your apprehension easily.

The characters are realists and we can easily imagine them. Rafael is an interesting character…we see two side of him but since he has amnesia we are unsure about who is he in real, which personality is the right one. Maya Banks plays with that fact and the reader has the answer only at the end so we are as confused as Rafael himself.
Bryony is a courageous woman, she is ready to fight and confront the one who wronged her. What she did not expect to find a completely different man who doesn’t remember her. Hurt and afraid she will still agree to help him, the father of her child, to recover his memory and she hopes his feeling for her however the reaction is explosive and she discover a lover more reverent and in the same time more savage. Is the past important when the present is so satisfactory? Between his friends, his success and the woman he loves and mother of his child Rafael must choose but for that he must first choose which kind of man he wants to be.

A short story yes but a really good one,  i enjoyed it a lot and i recommend it to fans of romance.

Daimon ( Covenant 0.5) By Jennifer L. Armentrout

Hello to all,

Today i will share with you a short review (really short) about Daimon, the prequel to the Covenant series by Jennifer L Armentrout. I will try to read and review the other books of the series but i'm not making any promise. This month will mostly be about erotic romance ( at first in French but i will soon start reading some in english too) and i was accepted in an additionnal cursus so i have a lot more works and less free time but i will do my best, just don't expect 20 reviews this month ( October was really special^^)

So to start with the beginning here come Daimon ( if you don't have the print book you can have a free ebook on the editor's website)

Publisher: Spencer Hill Press
Publication: 2011
ISBN: 0983157251
Genre: YA, paranormal romance
Violence: strong

sex: none
Public: 16+

Short description from goodreads :

For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals—pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards... and that she'll never be prepared for that duty.

According to her mother, that’s a good thing.

But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return—the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death… because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill.

The daimons have found her.

My opinion:

This prologue to the Covenant series is interesting but having read it first I got the impression I was missing information to really understand the story. Of course this novella is done to complete the story and to introduce us to it but I would have loved more, because when you are reading it with having read half-blood before Alex seems quite stupid for example. I mean, she is on the run with her mother but she doesn’t question it, she even misses the place her mother saved her from and even worse as soon as she is “free” she tries to go back there. Likes if all her mother had done was for nothing….and from what she is telling us of this place it’s also difficult to understand why she would want to go back.

Now the writing style is really good and it left you wanting more there is a lot of action and you are intrigued to learn more. You are immediately immersed in the action while following Alex and you get the need to understand her, she is showing some strengths while trying to survive and its’ promising.   I enjoy Jennifer L. Armentrout’s writing style even if it’s not my favourite series of her I appreciated to discover this new universe and I will be reading more about it without a doubt.
