My opinion:

          Really a great instalment, we get a lot of action, the romance but also we focus on characters feelings, their fears, their hopes  so we get deeper into their psyche and for both Riley it was something more than interesting. then we also get to see the other linear tactical members so it's simply the perfect mix.

The tension is high, the rhythm is fast as the WAR competition isn't to be taken lightly but  the missions on the side are more dangerous and with a tight timing. As a result we get immersed into the story immediately and  we can't stop before the last page even if in my case i guessed the culprit too early for my taste i still wanted to see how both Riley would react.

Really that's an excellent romance suspense with a view on how genetic illness can affect people ( or not) , so quite a few emotional moments,  and with a real feeling romance that will leave you swooning.

To recommend! ( Would work as stand alone too but the series is too good to miss it ^^)

My opinion:

          Very interesting. A lot is happening, several investigations so the level of suspense is really high and  we stay glued on our seat wanting to discover what is happening  to Harper's house, what happened to her sister, who killed the homeless and so much more as the story progress....we only get the answers at the very end of the book which is wonderful. Guessing the culprit too early strip the story of part of his fun; here it's not the case.

The characters are really interesting and their personalities deep. The author built them with care and we enjoy following them in their investigation.  The pace of the story is just what we need with touch of romance from time to time to balance with the dark side of some investigation so this is a really great written romance suspense .

to be recommended.

My opinion:

          So good, as always the author gives us part of the info we wanted and just makes us want more. In this book we focus on Heath as he tries to get answers about what was done to him during the secret project he was part of years ago. He does have symptom like Grace or Dorian: nosebleed etc but he has noise in his head that to him doesn't make sense and make him feel crazy.

He can't stop those noises but while working it quiets down so when an FBI agent comes ask his help for an infiltration he jumps on the offer....

Heath is loyal, often in the shadows (thus his name) that doesn't mean he isn't taking risks  for his friends he is just more discreet.

Lyn is very ill with a heart trouble but she still wants to lives to the fullest and her dreams are travel abroad and dead languages....with a over protective family she ends up working in secret while letting them believe what they want. When meeting Heath she must accept that she is also a woman  and under his charm.  Lyn is really a courageous heroine, she is determined to reach her dreams, she doubts herself but at the same time tries her best and i admired her for that.

We do get more info about the crypt project in this instalment but it doesn't feel like everything is completely finished yet so i'm curious about next book for sure. I loved how easy to read this story was while being a page turner full of action with the right amount of romance and humour.

 As a bonus we do get to see more of the whole team we met in precedent books as well as meeting more of Gavin's family member like Noah we met in the Bree and Tanner series.

A must read for sure

My opinion:

          First while this is the second instalment in a series it works well as stand alone as well, that being said to keep track of the characters reading in order is probably better. 

This story takes place 1year after the event in the first book and the team has been disbanded and the members scattered  however they haven't forgotten about Kobra and his machinations. While Dima is trying to get her team back together, hits on the team members are starting and they are not left  without scars. The mole is still feeding info to the Kobra and they are running out of time.

Agata is an analyst but as punishment she is sent to protect Cain Warren, a young man with a bad reputation ...still she won't do her job badly so she refuse easy way out and do follow her charge everywhere discovering more about him that she could have imagined. When someone come shooting she jump into protective mode not knowing that she is the main target ...discovering that information doesn't change the fact that she wants to protect Cain, and she must do it alone.

Trying to reach her team while evading those on her trail, both Agata and Cain  will need to open themselves and fight for their life while building something deeper than trust alone.

This is full of action , lot of suspense and really a good romance suspense with moment we could cry, moments to make us smile and want to see justice served. This end with a cliffhanger as the mole is still on the loose but we do get some kind of happy ending too.

to recommend if you want romance suspense full of spies and treachery as well as a huge dose of action.

     With the city fair long ( too long) hour i , at least, get more time to read so i'm happy to share with you an early review about the first book in the new Janie Crouch series, a author you know i love the writing. It's a bit special because it will be her first series with the same couple and i really can't wait to see how that will develop.

My opinion:

          While the beginning was a bit slow in my opinion; oh not really lacking action as we are immediately  in the heat of the action but we get too much missing info to immediately connect to the character, i really loved this book. The intrigue is interesting  and believable , the characters are touching  with  their troubled quite secret past  so we are easily won over.  Bree is a courageous heroine, she spent most of her life on the run and thus she has trusting issues but deep down she will take risks for what she believes is right.

Tanner is a protective alpha....he is immediately drawn to Bree even more seeing how vulnerable she is and how lost she seems to be with the little babies in her arms. His instinct though is telling him that trouble are around and thus he must make choice.

I can't say a lot more to avoid spoiler but i sure like the people of the city and i couldn't resist smiling at Corfu's mentions hoping to hear more about the dog....even better we get a little mention of Omega team, the other series from Janie Crouch i really love and we see a bit of the team...very little since we focus on Bree and Tanner but it was very good to have the light link.

It's the first series of  Janie that will focus only on one couple and i really can't wait to see more of Bree and Tanner and see how they "grow" together . It's really promising and i loved that there was not a cliffhanger, the intrigue of this book feel complete.

The only things i could put on the less good elements list is that i guessed one of the villains too easily ( but then i'm really good at this exercise and we only get confirmation later). And the fact that like i say the beginning is a bit slow/confusing with Bree but it's only the first chapters because after the pieces click together and we get a larger image of the situation and we are immersed into the story

All together it's a very good romance suspense, easily read , and a promising start of a series.

My opinion:

          Fabulous rollercoaster of feelings, i couldn't put it down.

I loved Dorian since the beginning of the story as he is the most damaged member of the team but still determined to be there for his friends and brothers. We learnt that he was tortured before in the story but in this book we get a deeper insight into what he was submitted to and i just admire him even more now as i'm sure few could do as well as he is doing and still believe in humanity after what he suffered.

Grace or Ray as she wants to be called now also suffered greatly even if she doesn't realize it completely yet. As she discovered that they were lied to she tried to take measures, she loved Dorian and wanted to protect him for that she had to do things that put weight on her soul even if most of those were just and needed....She had to make people believe she was dead and given up on a lot more...she made some definitive sacrifice for her country, as she believed then.  Now years later someone is killing their group and she takes new risks ....always for Ghost/ Dorian.

Both are deeply damaged and in a sense that's why their are perfect for each other, as few could understand their reactions and switch in behaviour. Still we would love them to get a real HEA one day  because they sure paid a big enough price as we discover along the pages. They have a family with the Linear tactical team , they deserve no less.

The story is wonderfully written and with a lot of twists; i did guess the reason of her nosebleeds but the author still managed to surprise me. Why not a 5stars then? Because i felt as the villains got it too easy ...comparing to what Dorian and other went through i wanted the bad ones to suffer and at this point i don't consider it enough But it's a kind of cliffhanger, they still need answers so these events are not completely finished yet so it could still happen ( sure hope so).

This is really an excellent military romance i recommend without hesitation ( but with some tissues for this one)

My opinion:

          A real rollecaster of feelings, once started you won't be able to stop until the last page.  The particularity of this book, if you read the precedent instalment in the series is that it takes place at the same time as book 3 for a big part of the series so you see events you already knew about but from another point of view and i really loved that. Thanks to that it can also be read as a stand alone.

Jordan really suffered and it was far from fair, she made mistakes and paid really an hard price for that but worse when outside most people are still shunning her or worse making her life even more difficult. She is a good, loyal girl so it wasn't easy to see her confronted to so many trouble at the same time.

Gabriel....he is a protective but stupid alpha, oh he sure can be smart in a lot of domain but in human female area he is deeply lacking....he hurts Jordan so man time  i'm not sure i could have forgiven him but Jordan does see his weakness under his all bad muscles appearance. The grumpy bear is in fact a teddy bear with a sweet heart. I did appreciate how Gabriel could recognize his errors and learn from them.

Since it's partly the same event than in book 3 that part of the intrigue was known to me since i've read but the the intrigue with Jordan was really well written and i couldn't wait to read more.

We do get to see the whole linear team and  i just want Dorian story even more now^^;; i need to discover the mysterious woman hunting him but still helping the team in her own way.

This is a fabulous story that i can only recommend with a lot of enthusiasm as a stand alone or read in order.

My opinion:

          Aiden is deep undercover when he sees something that makes him react....and willing to blow his cover however fate decide otherwise.....Still he can't forget the redhead who simply wasn't in her place and looked like a frightened deer.  I thinks that's quite telling about his character, he knows he is working for greater ends but still he is willing to sacrifices everything

Violet has no idea how bad the world really is before her kidnapping and even then she only get a glimpse as she is kind of protected (her captor are not supposed to harm her and a firm no sex rule is applied) but " kind" is important as she is far from sheltered as well.  I really admired her for surviving that, i don't think my mind would have been as strong.  When released she sure has flashback but she isn't trying to stay at home protected no she wants to become independent and realise her real dream  like opening her bakery.

Really those two were right for each other and i loved to see how Violet's brother Gabriel ( Gabe) was overprotective. their interaction were funny.

What i appreciated even more was the link with the author's other series omega sector that i enjoy as well. We only hear about those characters we don't meet them but that allusion was enough to make me smile and hope for more.

Really it's an excellent instalment even if it's not my favourite couple. I recommend without hesitation.

My opinion:

          Perfect!!! i loved the first Linear tactical book ( Cyclone) but i think this one is my favourite! It's simply the perfect balance between action, tension, romance and cute moment (all due to Ethan). This book was a great read, with some twists to spice it up.

Finn is an attentive father and i loved to learn more about him and Ethan....he was hurt by Charlotte ( Charlie) in the past and at first he doesn't trust her but for his son he is ready to make effort as she could be the only one able to help him....but deep down he just needed the push as his love for Charlie never disappeared. He is strong, protective as well as determined.

Charlie is courageous, tenacious and put other before her needs which resulted in her being homeless and without money despites several jobs....at first we may be suspicious seeing Finn reactions but when we learn the why we can only admire her courage and determination. She is really perfect for Finn and a great tutor / teacher. Despite her problem she still look out for others like Jordan (we heard about her in book 1)....and we see how strong minded she can be when it's really important.

I really loved the intrigue even if the villain wasn't really a surprise, it was more than enough to be read in one sitting as i wanted more of Ethan and sky along the couple Finn/Charlie. i really recommend this book if you want a good military romance

My opinion:

          An excellent conclusion. We follow Cristian and Chloe who we met several time in precedent books and we learn not only how they met but a lot about their childhood which is a big help to understand them in the current situation. I admit i wouldn't have loved the young Chloe her choice of lifestyle is against mine but she became a very good soul and never hesitate to put herself in danger or share what she had invented in hope to save people that i admire. Cristian has some self esteem issue but when time asks for it he becomes the leader he can be.

In this story we see how deep the inssurectos have become depraved: abduction of civilians, torture, bordellos.....no war is clean but at this point it can't even be called war.  That forces people to make choice and if i can understand a few i must say i wouldn't be as forgiving as Calli toward the other captives.

The rhythm is fast as our heroes are facing a real countdown and we get to see the situation from several locations and point of view as the family is divided some in america some in mexico, two or 3 groups ( if Nick counts as one group he sure does enough damage alone) in Vistaria....All their actions are linked thanks to Chloe invention and we follow them without any trouble.

There are a lot of tension;some moment fear is edging in our heart but  thankfully the author does delivers and happy ending as we discover the after of each living characters.... a great way to end the series

My opinion:

          I was looking for a good romance suspense when i came across this one and it's so good i want to continue the series even if this is a stand alone. Really it was super, the investigation, the characters all fit perfectly so that you were immersed in the story and not wanting to make a break but you could still take one if needed without feeling distressed.

Molly is a character i love, she is stronger than she looks, she is compassionate, intelligent and also vulnerable. She is important for the team even if she doesn't exactly see herself as part of it while staying in the lab. She puts her work before her life because for her each case is important...

Derek i want to strangle him a bit but with all he is confronted to i will allow him a reprieve^^ i mean he is deeply attracted to Molly but wants to take his distance for her wellbeing without in fact thinking about what she could be feeling  even once...worse he tends to redo the same mistake even after seeing what he did. he has good intentions though and he is really loyal going all the way to save her.

The whole team is interesting but this really focus on Derek and Molly so Liam and Jon are  a little put aside but hopefully they will get their time as they are courageous and funny!

The investigation was well done with a lot of twists and even better....vilains get what they deserve! i love when they don't get it easy after all the evil they have done.

i wanted to get this sooner to you but i felt this book deserved me in good shape not barely hanging on 2h of sleep like i had the previous day so i'm late and i'm sorry for that.

This is a new series called Linear Tactical from Janie crouch and as you may have discovered by now i really enjoy her books but this one could be my favourite now so i should better give you my opinion on it without more delay.

My opinion:

          Very good book that deserve reading in one sitting.....so i'm more than glad to have taken the time because the tension at some point had me glued to the book not caring the time. It's an excellent start for a new series...we got to learn a little about the other members of the team which i'm sure we will meet again later - i'm quite fond of poor suffering Dorian, Finn i like but until i learn more about his history i keep reservation-.

In this story we focus on Zac , ex military, founder of Linear tactical...who got his share of unfairness and suffering while loosing his wife and son for example. That could have made him revenful but no and i admire that.....he sure has faults but deep down he is a very good man with excellent teaching skills.

Soon after his wife death he made an error......and forgot the worst of it...however when Anne appears after 6y he isn't expecting fear in her eyes and definitively plan to learn the why and correct the situation.

Anne was best friend with Becky, Zac's wife, since school....;she is shy and despite having and hard childhood she grow up to be a strong woman and an excellent doctor. She always loved studying and books so beside Becky and Zac she was nearly invisible to others when they were not joking because she had a speech problem. However, in his grief Zac hurt her more than she could have imagined and she took his words to heart and flew to another state never planning to be back...life decided otherwise and she is trying to make the most of it.  Seeing Zac after all that time terrifies her  but soon she must face worse as a rapist is on the loose and while she is helping victims, Zac works on finding the culprit...proximity makes it hard to keep secrets....

Really the story is captivating and the tension, the violence is well balanced with the cute moments like the puppies or the exchanges between Zac and his best friends/brothers.

i've read this in one sitting and really i can't wait for next book to be out! If you want a great romance suspense this is one for you.

                2018 does not seem to be my year with how life keep interfering in my plans to give me more troubles...nothing i won't survive but i admit reading about strong characters can be a good motivation for not giving up.

Today i'm sharing with you my opinion on the 6th book in the Omega sector: under siege series by Janie Crouch....i still haven't gotten book3 (i sure hope i will soon) but i have loved all the rest of the series and this finale is quite the top! i couldn't have hoped for a better story to add to this series.

My opinion:

          Ren is a fantastic character, we learned about him a little before in the series but  he has a complex personality and his life is full of mysteries since he spent most of it undercover. I really enjoyed learning more about him and to see him act as well....he is really the perfect match for someone like Nathalie

Nathalie has fear deeply set in her bones...beside psychological  trauma, her body as well as her psyche show the traces of Damien torture.... she took the opportunity she saw to flee but she never felt free always terrified he would find her again....but no matter how much she suffered...deep inside she is still a good person, she shows compassion and when she can help other she does...it's really telling how courageous she is.

This story was all i wanted it to be...there was tension, moments where i cried, moments where i laughed all together with the Damien arc coming to an end and while i love this series it was really time for him to meet his fate and for the rest of the characters to be able to breathe a little...

It was a page turner from the beginning and if this could work as a standalone i prefer to recommend you to read it in order so you have a deeper insight of what the characters have suffered to help understand how far they are willing to go to succeed. It's said they suffered yes but it's it's too light explanation for what they really endured so this series is better read in order for sure.

It's a great romance with a excellent dose of suspense so i recommend it without any hesitation or doubt!
